With Gripp, onboarding new equipment can be done in as little as four taps on your smartphone. All you need is your Gripp app and a Gripp tag. We’ve broken it down into four quick steps:
1.Apply a Gripp tag
- We recommend placing 2x4” tags for bigger equipment in the equipment cabs or on the side where they are easy to reach
- For narrow door jams on vehicles we recommend the 1x2”
- We also offer PVC tags to place tags on assets that need tracking such as trees and magnets where it may be beneficial
2.Scan with your Gripp app
3.Take a hero image
4.Give your asset a name
Note that it is possible to create assets without a tag. Instead of first scanning a Gripp tag, you can select to add a new asset from your Gripp workspace. This may be useful for assets that aren’t frequently used or are no longer in use but still need to be documented.
If you wish to associate the asset with a tag, all you need to do is select “Asset Info” and scroll down to “Advanced Asset Information”. After clicking the dropdown arrows, you will be able to scan a Gripp tag by clicking the “+” symbol featured under “Gripp ID”.
Onboarding assets takes minimal effort and little time. We’ve specifically designed Gripp to make the process easy and flexible for you. By storing profiles for your individual assets in Gripp, you have access to all your equipment records in one spot.
